Well what else is there to do when you are home sick on the couch? Pull out some knitting needles and yarn and finish some of those U.F.O.s which I did today. Mainly the pair of magic scarves that I have started one was from vacation and one was started not long after. The first is the lovely black motif that can go with nearly any choice of wardrobe. I thought to do something different with fringe so I only added it to the corners and like the results. Knitted out of black Red Heart yarn from my stash.

The second would be a splash of color, unlike the first magic scarf pattern that was knitted on a pair of US 8 this lovely was knitted up on a pair of US 6, in a lovely James C. Brett Marble a wonderfully soft acrylic blend that is machine washable. Now this particular yarn is noted for being used on double point needles but I had little less then half a skein left and decided to turn it in to a short scarf or scarflett that could easily be worn with a broach pin to dress up outfit.

This is what my couch looked like after a days worth of knitting. The large overflowing zipper bag contains the Einstein Jacket I am working on for my dad if the bleeding yarn will ever come in! Every shipment seems to lack the yarn that I have been looking for. The project on the needles is a pleated project, well the one the pillow that is. As you can see there is a bag of knitting implement and tools by the pillow along with my lovely pink measuring tape.

All in all not a bad days worth of knitting and listening to an audiobook while sick on the couch.
