Knots of string

Well I have been working on the scarf, I'm about 50 inches into it now. I have about 10 inches to go, which I might have almost finished. Otherwise it will be finished on the way to Busch Gardens tomorrow. So I might have to take an extra few balls with me because I will need something to do on an hour and a half car ride. It has been a lot of fun.

But I should have known to ball the skein of yarn I am using before I started but alas I did not and since it was getting to be more then an mess inside of its paper wrap and well I decided to try and ball it. What a mess! I should know better, it took me the better part of the better part of a half an hour while watching golf with Grandpa unknotting the blown up mess of yarn that is attached to a pair of size 8 knitting needles and a 49 inch long scarf. Which made it even more interesting.

I wish I would have brought my knitting answers book since I need to figure out how to carry yarn along since I want to try and take a checkered patterned scarf like the one that I am working on. So we'll see if I can figure it out if I have enough yarn left to experiment with since I am not going to bust out the mohair if I dont have to.
